From the upstairs porch this morning, I saw Blix working hard (red cone hatted gnome), the birdbath with dianthus to the right, and Piggy near the Pinks in a Maple Whirlybird-laden garden. The sun had hit the iris tops and the non-stop roses so I scurried down with my camera to see if the peonies had yet opened up!
At 7:30, this is what I saw...three different blossoms on one bush that were closed up last night when we got home from work!
Double Delight Roses
About ten years ago, Dad sent me a Double Delight "rose tree" and the next year, 3 regular sized double delight rose bushes. They suffered in our very cold winter this year, but didn't die! And have just started to bloom again.

The Donald Wyman Lilac
I adore the scent of the lilac - and it usually is perfect exactly when my allergies are at their height! Thank goodness I don't have allergies like Cy did...I took so many photos because I wanted to be in that bush/tree smelling them!
